§ 1Overview

Earthworks, roads, asphalt, foundations and buildings.

Our road division builds highways, city roads, streets and pavements through every stage: cutting, backfilling and surface preparation, compaction testing of sub-grade, sub-base and base course, spraying MC and RC coats, then asphalt laid to the required thickness and compacted to density.

For buildings we take commercial and industrial buildings, houses and mosques from lean concrete and foundations to floors, columns, roofs, masonry and finishes.

§ 2Scope of work

What we take on.

Earthworks

  • Excavation in all soils: mass, basements, footings, trenches
  • Excavation for machinery foundations
  • Dewatering and shoring
  • Backfilling and compaction
  • Soil supply, including marl, by the truckload
  • Site clearance and land levelling
  • Landscaping

Roads

  • Highways, city roads, streets and pavements
  • Cutting, sub-grade, sub-base and base course
  • MC and RC spraying
  • Asphalt laid and compacted to density
  • Street lights and traffic signals
  • Traffic signs and road marking
  • Duct banks for road crossings, drainage

Buildings

  • Commercial and industrial buildings
  • Houses and mosques
  • Lean concrete and foundations
  • Floors, columns and roofs
  • Steel rebar and formwork
  • CMU works and plastering
  • Precast installation
  • Chain-link fencing
  • Doors and windows

§ 3Soil compaction

Why every lift gets compacted.

Compaction mechanically increases the density of soil. Done badly, the ground settles and the structure on it cracks. Scroll to compact the section.

Five reasons to compact

  • Increases load-bearing capacity01
  • Prevents settlement and frost damage02
  • Provides stability03
  • Reduces water seepage, swelling and contraction04
  • Reduces settling of the soil05

Static force

The dead weight of the machine presses the particles together. Kneading and pressure are static; the effect stays in the upper layers.

Vibratory force

An engine-driven eccentric adds rapid blows to the machine’s weight, setting particles in motion so they pack closer, deep into the lift.

Four kinds of compaction effort: vibration · impact · kneading · pressure

§ 5How we work

One QA/QC plan, four stages.

  1. 01

    Procurement

Materials and equipment checked against the specifications, codes and drawings, submitted for client approval, and tracked weekly until they arrive.

  2. 02

    Receiving

Every delivery inspected on arrival, logged and stored to the manufacturer’s requirements, with damaged items reported and replaced.

  3. 03

    Construction

Daily inspection of excavation, fill tested lift by lift, concrete batching checked on every pour, and sign-off before anything is covered.

  4. 04

    Handover

Test reports, certified as-built drawings, O&M manuals and spare parts lists filed with the client.
