§ 1Overview

Cable trays, terminations, lighting, testing, HVAC and MEP.

Our electrical work covers three areas: installation, breakdown and maintenance, and inspection and testing. We design mains distribution, power supply and lighting, including emergency lighting and fire alarm systems, and we work alongside builders and other contractors with the minimum of disruption.

For HVAC we size systems to room-by-room loads and air flows, lay out and size the ductwork, install, charge and balance, then maintain under annual contracts.

§ 2Scope of work

What we take on.

Electrical installation

  • Conduit works
  • Cable tray works
  • Cable pulling and terminating
  • Light fixing and street lights
  • Mains distribution and power supply
  • Emergency lighting and fire alarm systems

Testing and maintenance

  • Inspection with a full condition report
  • Portable appliance (PAT) testing
  • Machine and plant breakdowns
  • Mains distribution faults
  • Commercial and domestic services
  • Energy conservation advice

HVAC

  • Design and installation
  • Room-by-room loads, duct layout and sizing
  • Charging, balancing and commissioning
  • Breakdown and maintenance
  • Inspection and testing
  • Annual maintenance contracts

§ 3Working near live equipment

Treat every cable as live.

Most electrical accidents end in burns, and sparks in a flammable atmosphere can end far worse. These rules come straight from our site safety plan.

  • Test trenches dug by hand before any mechanical excavation near cables
  • Exposed underground cables treated as energized until tested and grounded
  • No one works alone on live equipment; a supervisor who can isolate it stays in attendance
  • Exact voltages confirmed before work, and protection chosen to suit
  • Guards and barriers erected beside adjacent energized lines
  • Ground fault circuit interrupters on every temporary circuit
  • Tools and extension lights inspected at every issue and return
  • Newly installed systems fully tested before they are energized

§ 5How we work

One QA/QC plan, four stages.

  1. 01

    Procurement

Materials and equipment checked against the specifications, codes and drawings, submitted for client approval, and tracked weekly until they arrive.

  2. 02

    Receiving

Every delivery inspected on arrival, logged and stored to the manufacturer’s requirements, with damaged items reported and replaced.

  3. 03

    Construction

Daily inspection of excavation, fill tested lift by lift, concrete batching checked on every pour, and sign-off before anything is covered.

  4. 04

    Handover

Test reports, certified as-built drawings, O&M manuals and spare parts lists filed with the client.
